Volunteer Unit Manager
Introduction
This system has been developed for use by volunteer units in managing their operations. What can it do? Well...
- Lists duties and allows members to sign up to them
- Keeps track of members' hours for filling in the dreaded forms
- Keeps track of members' qualifications and expiry dates.
- Is embeddable into your own web site without any technical skill other than some basic HTML
- Share duties between divisions
- Integration with facebook
- Access control: Keeps track of roles and what they can access. For example, the duties co-ordinator can modify duties and the super-intendant can change roles and view member's profiles. Likewise, designated county staff can access divisional information too.
Getting started
Click on the Register button above and fill out the form. If your organisation or unit are not shown in the lists, then cick 'not listed' next to it and enter their names. All accounts registering to pre-existing units will need approval from the admin of that unit. If there are any difficulties with this then please e-mail me and I can reassign administrator privileges, my email is support@aztux.com.Embedding into your web site
The system can be integrated to a limited degree into your existing website. Web pages support what we call an IFRAME which is a web page within a web page. However, if you want it to appear on your web site then chances are that you don't want the big title etc on your page, so I've built in a feature to remove this. To do this, there are two steps:
- Find the address for pages you wish to embed. Go to the divisions list, and click on the page for either duties/events or training, or for that matter any other page you may want to embed. Look in the address bar of your browser and copy and paste the address.
- To remove a lot of the formatting on the page, add &layout=embedded to the end of the address.
